Formal and conceptual starting point of the bagrOund project, dated 2016, is the circle.

The circle is considered both a metaphor, describing a journey in which the start and end are internal to the path, and a flat geometric shape, which becomes volume thanks to the manipulation and transformation of the basic form.

The result is a series of objects – bag, sack and backpack – that reflect on the idea of accessory, transcending gender divisions.

Each object’s basic pattern has a different diameter, which ranges from a minimum of 50 cm to a maximum of 150 cm.

In the different editions, the bags are presented with different materials and details: cotton canvas + cotton ribbons and drawstrings ; natural canvas + block print + cotton ribbons and drawstrings ; vegetable leather made from wood + magnets ; waterproof fabric + wool padding + cotton ribbons and drawstrings.
